Which game character is you favorite of all time?

Hiryu Strider. Seriously, this guy could spank most any other side scroll character. Is there a bad Strider game? The NES strider was different, but interesting.

If Strider ever sees another game, he would be a worthy opponent for Ryu Hyabusa.

Gouki/Akuma - the raging demon is just too cool.
Samus Aran - The first women mega star.
NORA MA-01 - Blaster Master (give the tank some credit).
Caribu Shoe - SMB3- That shoe was awesome.(but not a character per-se)

I gotta admit all the others I've read here are pretty cool but zombie slayers are the real royalty of my world. And since Bruce Campbell is a real person and Ash is just a movie character, they don't really count as game characters despite the Evil Dead games. Lots of the Resident Evil games' characters would count, especially Leon from RE4 but dual-katana wielding just offers something the others can't.
