Need help with PSP game saves

I recently updated my psp from 3.40 OE to 4.01 M33-2 and now my saves wont work on FF-CC its says load failed. does anyone know there is a way to convert them or what? cause i'm like 20 hours in and i really dont want to start over again please help. thanks in advance

Saves are corrupted because you were playing a game that required higher firmware, it was pretty dumb from sony not to put the firmware update check on some of the latest games.

My savegame from Naruto Ultimate ninja heroes 2 got corrupted too, among other games and I have no Idea how to fix it, I've already beated a hundred floors on the mugenjo
This is really anoying but I think the only way is to start over
