Thumbs up Under Defeat - DC (JP) New Info/screens

    News From Lik Sang

From G Rev, the developers of Senko Ronde and Border Down, comes a new seek-and-destroy helicopter shooter, Under Defeat. Powered by the Naomi board, the game is currently doing the rounds across Japanese arcades, and celebrating its popularity, has already been announced for a Dreamcast release on March 23rd. With both a range of projectile weapons to choose from and bombs to drop, you'll take on the forces of air, land and sea across five large stages.

In either single or two player modes, there's plenty of action here to get your old Dreamcast's heart pounding once again, and bring back fond memories of the days of Desert Strike. Finally though, don't forget Milestone's cel-shaded shoot 'em up Radilgy is also due out soon for the DC, expected on Feb 16th.

    Default Dreamcast proving STILL worthy...

and again with the announcement of two awesome arcade shooters, there's no question, Dreamcast is still very much alive and bringing the arcade home. I kept saying since Sega decided to not get involved in the making of disposable entertainment systems, there will never be a stronger arcade/game machine than the Dreamcast.

p.s. now if someone can make a wireless controller...

I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see a Under Defeat port. To be honest, none of the shoot em ups after Border Down made me this nervous and impatient like this.

The gameplay reminds me of Zero Gunner 2, still has some unique elements (like Border Down) and a crispy and realistic graphic. According to some people who played it in the arcades already the handling is perfect and it motivates for long. Simply makes fun to learn and play again and again.

I already preordered it, what I can't say from all previous released Japanese Dreamcast games after 2003.
