General games How Can Mario Shirts Cost $175?

Easy! Take a t-shirt and apply the Bape sub-label Baby Milo. That's eighty bucks already. You're almost half way there. Next, make it exclusive to the members-only online store Nigo's Favorite Shop. Finally, add Japanese import mark up and you've easily reached $175. The designs, featuring artwork from the Bape branded Nintendo DSs released earlier this year, may not be spectacular enough to warrant nearly two-hundred bucks in t-shirt purchases, but it's not outrageous for retailers to ask this much money.

How do I know this? The shirts went online yesterday and are already sold out.

Ahhh, ooohhh, it has the BAPE (bathing ape lol) logo on it! OMG I must have! Errr, maybe not.
It's sad that a brand name alone can add $80 to the price. I could personally make a Mario Tshirt better than for less than $10.

now days its not about how much it costs to make, more how much money they can make off the start with it. cause come on, babys clothes can cost 20 - 40 bucks per peice yet its made out of half of a full sized one at the same price. its all about profit baby

BAPE is for self-loathing retards. Perfect for Japan.

That being said, I get my BAPE stuff in Korea for pennies on the yen.
