Wii problems

I have a wii, chipped with the latest wiikey.

It won't run my games. It ran one disc ever and it hasn't run any since. The first was a trucha signed custom guitar hero disc. I overwrote this disc and no subsequent have worked. Unfortunately something's gone wrong. On version 3.2e it just wasn't working. I found a thread of someone in another forum who said they had the same problem and they discovered somehow his 3.2e version had the thing that prevents 3.3e from working with trucha signed games, but he could still run through the homebrew channel on gekko os, so I installed HB channel, GO, and tried to run my discs but they still wouldn't work, so I downgraded to 3.1e and they still don't work. Imports work in the gecko channel thing but not normally.

Is my wii chip not working? Import games won't work from the wii menu, so can I safely assume something's wrong with the chip and it needs fixing?

Sounds like it. I'll go out on a limb here and assume you have no legit software at all to test?
