    Default Hi-def

TV is hidef and ps3 sets up in all upto 1080i plays
fantastic but when I quit and turn back on screen goes black and infiorms ne it has switched to 576p
and only way to get back on is reset to AV.
It is the same on my pc monitor and my main tv but
GAME refuses to accept anything is wrong with the
console even though they have no facilities to look at it and made out I was a liar.
All I want is to turn on and play but why should I settle
for AV when I paid £800 for a hi def TV ?
    please any advice ?????

    Interesting.

I'm guessing you are running though a HDMI cable?

Plug your PS3 in, hold the power button until it turns on, and it will find the display options for you. (Im guessing you have done this)

Then save them, there is no reason it should do this.

What TV do you have just for the record? I would expect 1080p for that price. (My 32" 1080p LG was £400 )

Not all games can be played at 1080i. The standards used are 720p and 1080p, so it might be that when you play a game that doesnt support 1080i and your TV doesnt support 720p that your TV will revert to 576p.

What TV do you have, and what resolutions is it capable of?
To be fair to GAME, the problem is probably the TV or HDMI/Component cables not the console itself.
