apparently bricked psp slim

i bought a psp slim about a year ago and using a pandora battery i put custom firmware on it and it worked 100% fine although i cant recall which firmware is on it. i had to leave town abruptly and never ended up coming back until now and its been sitting in its box where i put it when i left and hasnt been touched in 8 months but now it will not turn on but the light will turn orange when it is connected to a ac adapter. is there anyway to get it to turn on and does anyone know hwat could possibly be wrong with it.

How about charging it? Otherwise, just use the Pandora battery again and unbrick it!
