Put out a good product and I'd be more than willing to pay. Sony's certainly not getting my cash since they're insisting that I upgrade my firmware to play the new games.

Lately all my game money has been going to buy games for my Sega Saturn.

"the tools to make this costs money" isnt an excuse, if you worked for a company to do this type of thing, youd have acess to alot more free

if you cant get a job doing this thing, then dont try to put a price on it,

    or simply

if you cant afford to make homebrew for us psp fans, dont make it
It's people like you that need to grow up. He stated there will be 2 versions one being free and the other "Professional" version being $8-15. Personally, I've seen PSIX early screen shots and it looks stunning, I would be more then willing to pay $15 for for the "full blown" version. Programming PSIX has taken lots of personal time to accomplish, it's over 5 months in the making. If you snot nosed brats cann't afford a measly $15 to help the guy out with his time and effort, personally you don't deserve to run homebrew...

If you can't afford to buy homebrew for your PSP, don't look at it.

i've never tried some of these shell, but i became very curious of these...

but my basic questions: can i set them to autostart or do i have to start them manually like any other homebrew from the games menu?
if yes, then i don't see the sence in these shells. why should i start a shell manually just to start another application from it, which actually lies in the same menu as the shell itself?

i really liked this desktop-style on my GP32. it's good to see all your games/emus as icons and then decide which you like to start.

Currently all shells run just like current homebrew from the game menu. There are plans to have a firmware hack to let PSIX autostart when the PSP boots, but I wouldn't plan for that on the initial release.

Theres so much hype over this considering theres no features list. What exactly does it do??? Apart from doing the same thing as sony's menu. Also, does anyone think that this will be able to compete with sony's updates, if thats what its doing. Offer internet, RSS, etc. I do hope so but it is unlikely, which is worrying when we'll have to pay for it.
