    Question pc woes.

Sigh, my pc died last week. Ithought it was the power supply
but it turns out, because i leave the side of my case off a small thumb tack shorted my motherboard.

    yeah... nice.

so since my pc had basically been turned on since i joined dcemu, and without upgrade.

I've decided it's age makes it not worth fixing.

so im down to just my ps3 for net activity for an undetermined ammount of time.

so what i need is some sound advice about a laptop.

i need something that will allow me to surf the web, with the space and power to download and play most any video format.

it should also be able to read/burn cd's/dvd's
other then that the processor should at least be 1.5 ghz or more.

in short I've dont need the lamborgini of laptops,, just something practical.

any suggestions would be very helpful guys.

A thumbtack? That's just not right.

Hmm, if it's practical, I myself recommend a cheap Dell Inspiron/Latitude with at least Pentium 4 and 512 MB ram. That'll get the job done.

Do you have Linux on your PS3?
If not, get this, until you get a new computer.

I'd recommend an Acer. They're cheap and with lots of good specs. My friends say they're reliable, but I don't know. Haven't touched one.

My laptop. Think it's discontinued now, so you can try a similar model of the same lappy (this one here might do)
