Electronic Arts and Maxis have revealed the minimum system requirements for The Sims 3, its highly-anticipated simulation game. The Sims 2 official web site has detailed the technical specifications for laptops, desktops, and different operating systems:
Desktop PC (Windows XP + SP2):
CPU: 2ghz Pentium4 Processor or Amd Athlon 2000+ Processor
RAM: 1 GB of RAM
GPU: 128mb Video Card (GeForce FX 5900 or Radeon 9500)
Desktop PC (Windows Vista + SP2):
CPU: 2ghz Pentium4 Processor or Amd Athlon 2400+ Processor
RAM: 1.5 GB of RAM
GPU: 128mb Video Card (GeForce FX 5900 or Radeon 9500)
Laptop (Windows XP + SP2):
CPU: 2ghz Pentium4 Processor or Amd Athlon 2000+ Processor

well, the system requirements for the sims 3 seems to fit my computer perfectly except that my video card is "NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GS graphics card" ...so this won't run on my computer?!
