Default How recent are the unhackable PSP mobos?

I've heard talk of an updated motherboard in later PSP slims that is pandora proof. I was thinking of getting a PSP for Christmas and getting CFW on it for homebrew but I'm not sure how big a risk getting a slim is. I've found a good deal for a used slim with a 4GB memory stick and case for £90 and it seems like a good deal but I'd rather not get stuck with a PSP I can't get CFW on to.

Basically my question is: about how big a risk is it getting a used slim?

just about as big as any risk.... one guy infact got a slim used and found out it had the new mobo ( TA-088v3 )

what you SHOULD do is make a pandora setup and go to your local hockshops / gamestores and see if the pandora setup boots.... if it does then get that psp

thats all the advice i can give sadly :S

    Thanks for Everything,

Regardless if the 3000 is the one you get, for 30 $ the Datel BlueTOOL lite will be able to pandora mode it. See here: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/sho...p?p=2148159851

No it wont. It will do the same as any pandora battery, turn on a light. obviously datel didnt bother testing it properly, u still cant get a cfw etc.

as ive said in the same thread you linked.... and as SifJar also said... it does absolutly nothing

we can get the same results as our current pandora batteries... we just cant bypass pre-ipl...

instead of going into lengthy discussion on it ( just read my post lol ) we basically have the door... we know where to insert the key... we just dont know the specific shape of the key to unlock the door

also if you havent read about the new DC8, hes locked out the lite blue functionality so DONT BUY IT

I can't really remember when the TA-88v3 mobos appeared

As far as i know some of the Madden Bundles (blue psp slim) already had that mobo but some people got lucky and didn't got it

I think maybe the color can help, if it is red or silver you can be pretty sure it's hackable, black or blue can be more risky. Even so you'll have to test it just to be sure
