Ps2 Action replay help

Hi I'm going to be softmodding my ps2 but I am a little confused as to why you need a usb flash drive (I have one)


Is it so I plug my flash drive into the ps2 and copy the savegames over to the memory stick or what?

That's it exactly. You download the softmod files using your PC to your USB stick in a format that the PAR can read, then you 'restore' the gamesave to your Memory Card on the PS2.
