Newbie and Wii internet

Hi,
Umm, I just got a Wii for christmas, and have been fiddling around with it for a little while now.
I tried using the internet on the system. I have a usable connection and everything like that set up, but I don't know how to actually connect to the internet on the machine. But, I think it might be something to do with me deleting the Wii+Internet channel after the tutorial video was done. Is there any way I can fix this? Or some other way I can connect to the internet? I would really like to use the internet on the system.

are you connecting via standard wireless or nintendo's wifi connector ?
