NDS DsKiosk v1.11 - Homebrew Channel for Nintendo DS

    News via playeradvance

Good morning during breakfast is always a good KornFlexx announced good news.
DsKiosk, the Homebrew Channel of the DS, is updated.

Thanks to tests conducted by the community, it is now possible to start from any DsKiosk linker. However, he still some problems when we should start some homebrew since DsKiosk.

This problem should be solved very soon by the author. In the meantime, it would be nice to make manip by hand into the patch to hombebrew and back KornFlexx tests so that he can move his project!

So is this a homberew downloader? launcher? or a crap load of homebrew in one simple package?

This little program looks really cool, but unfortunately I was not able to get it to work for me. I have an R4, I DLDI patched the program, and put it on my root directory, but just got an error screen when trying to start it up. The read me file being in French didn't help me out much either. Do I actually have to go stand in front of DS Kiosk in order to benefit from this thing?

google translation of the read me:

    Translation: French » English

Dskiosk.nds place the file anywhere on your SDCard,
    and run it.

To begin, we will have to add your favorite homebrews to the list
applications available. If this is the first time you run
DsKiosk, the display settings appear automatically. Thereafter,
it is with the Start button on the console that you can access it. And it
with the same button that you can leave the screen settings.

    Settings --- ---

DsKiosk default is in English when you start it for the first
times. To pass in French, just go to the Options
    and click on Language.

    Slots --- ---

This is the main tab from which you will populate DsKiosk.

The Add button lets you add an application. Click it, and
dialog box allows you to define the path for the file NDS,
and also the image (PNG 16bits, 64x48).

DsKiosk is able to automatically detect if an image is present,
if it fulfills one of the following conditions:

    * The image is in the same folder and has the same name as
the application you want to add, except for the extension
which must be "knots" (example, you have a game called
monHomebrew.nds, the image will be called monHomebrew.png)

    * The image is named _title.png (and of course, there can be
one file of this type in a directory)

Note that if you do not provide a picture file, try DSkiosk
to display the default icon of homebrew, which is of course well
    less attractive (32x32, 16 colors).

Once you have confirmed your choice, your new entry
added to the end of your list of programs already registered. You
can change its position by selecting it (tap), and
Using the Up and Down buttons.

Finally, the Remove button lets you delete an entry from the list. The
NDS files and images will not be against not deleted from your SDCard.
It is always up to you to clean up your files.

    Options --- ---

You can change the language used in DsKiosk, between English
and French. Click the Language button to change.

    Info --- ---

The use of information: version, author, website address, etc etc ...

    Save your settings --- ---

Registration is done automatically as soon as you leave
Setting the interface with the Start button on the console.

Sadly doesn't work on my M3 Simply/R4... therefore I hope he fixes this in the next version (1.2).
