I know I'm not the only one here with a burned-out PSP-1000 battery. Can't anyone point me in the best direction to get a new one?
It appears that my PSP 1000 battery finally died on me. I went looking for a replacement online and locally today, but it appears that the only place that sells them in ebay. I have heard that many of the batteries on ebay are fake, and do not last long at all. Can anyone here point me to a "good" ebay psp battery seller, or to a store in the US that actually sells the batteries? Thanks!

I think I found a few decent-looking third-party replacements that are available from online retailers based in the US:
http://www.batterygenie.com/batterie...lent-1693.html (I ordered this one. The price was nice, they accept PayPal, and they have a phone number at which I was able to speak with their very friendly support personnel)

Great findings, thanks for sharing
I received my battery yesterday, the one from Battery Genie (http://www.batterygenie.com/batterie...lent-1693.html). It seems to be working great! The order turnaround time was extremely fast, and I am very happy with my purchase. I highly recommend using them.
