Battery failure after drop : (

Hi all,

I after using my PSP for 2 years, finally did the unthinkable...... dropping my psp phat on the tiled floor : S. Fortunately, nothing *seems* to be broken as the battery flew out. However, since then, when i play with power unplug and just with the battery, the power cuts off after approx. 5min. What is strange is that it does not happen if i am playing music, or doing things at XMB. Power does not cut off when I have my power cable plugged in either. So, my simple question is that is a pretty sure bet that my battery is faulty now? Or is it something more serious since it works when not in games but fails when playing in game?

I don't really want to shell out $ to get a new psp, especially since most of the ones out there are now psp 3000 : S.
