Hey guys , Im new to the PSP scene. My wife bought me a PSP for christmas as a gift. After reading online about mods and games I learn that my PSP is version 3001 aka PSP brite. As of now i learn that SNES9xtyl dont work on that version. BUt is there any downgrade i can get to chance firmware 5.02 to 4.2 ? And If so will the emulator work? If you guys got any Info hit me back, would love to run snes emulater on a psp.:thumbup:

currently... no

that is because the exploit only allows user mode homebrew to work... in order to do anything your are suggesting we would need kernel mode.

there are some user mode emulators i believe, so you should be able to try those out

Be patient. Your psp will be hackable in the future (I guess).

Don't update your firmware if you don't need to.

ha ya.. once you start hacking un bricking etc you will get use to it.. once you do one you will be fine don't worry
