    Default Stuff I wanna see on the Dreamcast

    CONVERSIONS

    * Settlers of Catan: there are already many gr8 OS clones, but I wanna see one made for the DC in mind.

    * Carcassonne: another gr8 German board game

    * Risk: a REAL one, not the crappy one they have right now. And also, instead of just have the normal RISK, also have variations and room for custom maps, rulesets, et al.

    * Monopoly: and also make it moddable, so you could either make your own Monopoly OR recreate your fave variation

    * Arcomage

    * Wily and Light's Rockboard, or some similar Sogoroku-style game

    * Clue: 'nuff said.

    BEATS OF RAGE MODS

    * Toxic Avenger: granted, it'd involve loads of custom sprites, like a lot of my BOR mod ideas
    * Power Rangers: easy cuz the graphics already exist. Or better yet... Super Sentai.
    * Kamen Rider
    * Ultraman
    * Hack/Slash, the comic about a final girl who kills slashers
    * Marvel + DC: a team-up with Marvel and DC, and there'd be different team-up varieties, so you don't have dozens of characters in the same mod.

    QUAKE MODS
    Made with the Dreamcast's limitations in mind, but I'd also want non-DC versions of these.

    * Metroid: similar to the Prime games, albeit limited
    * Halo: maybe a prequel to compliment Halo Zero
    * Batman: similar to the Doom mod, but inspired by the Nolan films and the darker comic entries
    * Tron 2.0
    * Painkiller

    PORTS

    * Halo Zero. The GP2X has one, thus the DC should have one

    That's about it for now.

    You should propose your ideas for the Beats of Rage mod at senileteam.com or lavalit.com

    Regarding Halo Zero, you might want to contact its author.

    Regarding the Quake mods, I would say DCEmulation.org's Quake forum or one of the bigger Quake sites would be a good place to see if anyone got something like that in the works.

    This doesn't really belong in the development forum, so off we go...

    Well, as a developer of CSDC, my partner Dreammatrix and I are working on porting Paranoia to dreamcast.
    http://paranoia.level-design.ru/

    Here is our forum for development status for this project:

    As we are experienced with the gold-source engine ( heavily modified quake-2 ) working with the quake engine is quite easy.

    When I get some time, I will look at the quake mods you mentioned and see if it is possible to port them to Dreamcast without any source code changes.

    The gold-source engine is a echanged quake1 engine and is very similar quake1 and 2.

    Hey there buddy, good to see you here!
    And yes I have been watching Halo: Solitude in development, it will be released in march.
    It is also being released for PC, so that is good news.

    Have you had any luck with Dreamplaces? Do you think it will be possible to port Halo Solitude PC using Dreamplaces, or just use the current quake ports?

    It would be awesome to see Halo Solitude running on Dreamcast!
