Question PSX games crash on PSP 3000

Myself and my brother both have M33 firmware installed on our PSPs, he has a PSP 3000, I have a normal fat PSP.

When he reaches certain points on most games, his PSP will freeze (or in some cases, the loading screen stays on for ages)

We've managed to work around it by moving his saves to my PSP and get past the bit that freezes, then giving him the new save. But I was wondering if there's a reason as to why his crashes, and if there's a way to fix this?

    uhm??
First of all there is currently no M33 Firmware for PSP 3000, your brother's PSP must be a 2000

you should have different M33 Firmwares, and the compatibility for PSX games changes between different firmwares.

There is a plugin called popsloader that you can use to load the PSX games with the compatibility from another firmware

You're gonna have to search for it, as I've never used it

    hope this helps

My mistake, it is a PSP 2000.

Thanks a lot for the help, I'll give popsloader a shot.
