GPSP Cheats wont work! Please help

I am going crazy trying to find out why I cant get this work. This is what I have so far...

PSP>Game150>GPSP>GBA>CHT>
Pokemon - FireRed.CHT

When I load the game on the psp it comes up Enabled on the list, but the cheat is not working.

What am I doing wrong?

Yeh I had the same problem, I was using notepad and saved as .cht but was still showing the icon and the extension .txt and wasnt working
Solved it by saving the file exactly as im about to show: "gamename.cht"
include the brackets and work for me
