I'd love to see a Turbografx16 emulator for the DS as well... if I was more tech-savvy, I'd get to working on one!
There's gotta be someone out there who could translate the current T-16 emulator to work on the DS!
Why hasn't anyone made this!? The Turbografx 16 is an amazing console with so many good games! It could most certainly run on the DS because I don't think it's even as powerful as a Sega Genesis. In fact, there's a Turbografx emulator for the GBA. It's also gained a lot of popularity since Nintendo has been releasing Turbografx games on the Virtual Console.
Someone needs to get on this asap. With all the emulators available for the DS, it's a shame no one has thought of making this simple little beauty. I keep hoping that one's going to pop up during every coding contest, but nothing ever does! I think this would be a great console to add to the DS' arsenal.
Here are some screenshots of a few of the Turbografx best games.
Neutopia
Dungeon Explorer
Alien Crush
Bonk's Adventure
Blazing Lazers

Problem is, PCE Advance for the GBA uses the commercial ARM SDT for development, which costs several thousand dollars. Flubba has not converted it to compile with GCC, so until that happens a port of it done by someone other than Flubba himself seems unlikely.
Either way, it's not like it's a high-end console to emulate or anything. It wouldn't be impossible for someone to code a new one.
Unfortuneately, I doubt it will happen with the recent slow down in DS homebrew and the near deadness of DS emulation. Do you guys think it might pick back up once the DSi comes out??
