    Question What size MicroSD card?

Okay so I'm ordering a CycloDS offline and I have the option to add a micro SD card in with the order. What I basically want this card is for convenience-I want to keep backups of all my games in one place. So what I'm wondering is what is generally the size of backups? If I were to get a 1gb card how many could I hold? Thanks.

I'll warn you, I started out with a 2GB, graduated to a 4GB, then used both, so that the 4GB was purely for DS games and the 2GB handled all homebrew apps, games, and emulation, and I finally made the push to 8GB for convenience.

If you think you only need 2GB, then definitely get 4GB.

And if it's price that's holding you back, just go online, always cheaper than store bought. Newegg has been both cheap and reliable for me and their site is incredibly easy to navigate and very informative. This is what I got for 4GB microSD and the 8GB isn't much more expensive. 2GB is $6, 4GB is $8.50, and 8GB is $16, you do the math.

I'm not sure how accurate this is but I have tested it and there's some truth to it...I read on http://www.r4dsrevolution.co.uk (no, it's not a shop, just a guide site) that it's best to leave some spare memory free on your Micro-SD cards as it helps games run a bit faster without lag.

I tried completely chocka-blocking my card up with games, and it really did run slower than when I left about 40% free. But I'm not sure if this small difference is worth the hassle.

For that reason, I'd use an 8GB. But that's just me :P
