locating firmware versions

A while back a post was made on what to look for on the box of a psp 2 see what version it is before u buy it can someone direct me to that post or let me know what 2 look for.

There's been a few different methouds that people have posted on these boards. The one that I used (back when there was only 1.50, 1.51, and 1.52) is documented here:

Also note that there may NOT be a letter where this methoud specifies. These PSP's should be good as well.
