umds that are 2.0 firmware on 1.5 psp

let me get this right i have just downloaded to 1.5 and was well happy. however most of my umds are firmware 2.0 gta pinball socom etc so i have to upgrade from 1.5 to play these. could someone tell me if this is correct or is there a version changer to put on the memory card that changes fimrware automatically. if the answer is no having 1.5 is a complete waste of time. you buy a psp for state of the art gaming not to play 20 year old s**te games that my son would just laugh at. i may as well leave my psp at 2.0 as all new games are going to be firmware 2.0 i guess. i thought 1.5 was the mecca the way everyone goes on about it but i do not want to play last years psp games. what a waste of time to download now i have finally done it.
