Unhappy Help with downgrading 4.01 with fat battery (but fat psp's broken)

Hey everyone. So, I bought a slim today and it came with 4.01 OFW. I tried the total newbie easy installer but it was fruitless. I also have a fat psp and I've downgraded many slims and fat psps with it before but my little sister dropped it down the stairs and it broke (battery's fine though but it's not in Pandora mode or w/e). Is there any way to downgrade or do I need to have a functioning psp with CFW?

Any help is appreciated and sorry if this is a stupid question and am coming off as a newb

PS - I have no idea what motherboard it has. It's a PSP-2004 and on the battery it says PSP-S110. Also, I have a 8GB Lexar Mem. Stick PRO Duo.
