    i wonder if you can use one of the few homebrew rss readers with this server to still get the rss mp3 feeds on a 1.5. i may try this later today and see, but its an option for everyone with 1.5 to think about.

    You CANNOT download it, you must install it from add/remove windows components, this is the only way, and then the installer works...

    it's qutie obvious you dont have IIS because it wouldn't say the error if you did

    but none of the links work and the backgorund image doesn't show

    OK, I have been trying to get this app working and found a few issues with both the instructions and my IIS/.NET installation.

    Firstly the instructions say browse to pspmediaserver when it should say pspmediaserversetup.

    Secondly, I have greyed out links until I did the following (from the run box in windows)

    C:\yourwindowsdirectory\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.yourversionnumberhere\aspnet_regiis.exe -i

    Note: replace the yourwindowsdirectory with your true windows directory, most likely to be WINDOWS unless you have custom installed.

    Note: Browse to the .NET installation to find the .NET release version and replace in the above.

    This should then let you see proper links in the PSPMediaServerSetup page on your localhost.

    Unfortunately I'm now getting errors when the script executes

    The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. So, onwards and upwards trying to debug it....

    OK, sorted out the issue of getting errors when running the html side on the PC, it was trying to point the virtual directory to the root of a partition drive!

    Now I can;t figure out how to get my PSP to see the localhost on my PC, it just times out??

    Anyone any ideas??

    I'm having the same time out probs... I followed the instructions... I don't get it, has any1 actually had any luck running this program? Maybe some better instructions are needed cuz it just seems to be missing something.

    Maybe its the config file that has to be edited. I saved my ip setting as follows:
    Code:
    internal IP or Dynamic-Ip URL
    	value="http://xxx.hopto.irg/"
       value="http://192.168.0.2/"
    get back to me guys.. This proggy could be very useful.

    Peace,

    you want to point to 192.168.0.2 (or 3 or whatever) on your PSP.

    you CANNOT use the name of the machine, it must be the internal IP.

    please AIM me @ comphappy for help

    thanks for the corrections. i am doing my best :-D i didnt even know the prog was posted here.

    try naming the app PspMediaServer, not PspMediaServerSetup when you install it. (uninstall the old version first).

    also, please post your web.config if you are getting errors.

    it does seem that IIS on XP Home is not officially supported, but can be hacked http://adamv.com/dev/articles/iis-on-xp-home

    Hey man,

    Just tried uninstalling and re-installing with PspMediaServer as the virtual dir name and it still doesn't work on my psp. On the other hand when I try connecting to http://192.168.0.2/pspmediaserver my browser now tries to download some files but I can't actually see any pages. It downloaded a file called "epw32fm" no file extention...

    Anyway my web.config file is attached, please let me know what I did wrong.

    Peace,
