Reply With QuoteI got a psp 2.50 and was happy with it I use for the offical game.And then I found a second hand psp 2.00 and downgraded to 1.50 which I use for the homebrew and emulator. So All I can say is look for a 2.00 and downgraded plus if you can take your other psp back to the shop. Or do what Hawkeyefile did and sell your after you find a 1.5 or 2.0.

this happened to me once. i bought a 2.6 psp. then i bought a 1.5 sold the 2.6 psp for some money and lost no money in the proscess. why cant the 2.6 owners go on ebay.com and buy a 1.5 psp? its only 150 bucks. http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-PSP-Value-P...QQcmdZViewItem
Am i the only one who thinks that we should make a rule that goes like: Don't ask question about downgrading from 2.xx to 1.xx.
that way we can go on to more important things for the psp.

not that i know of, just try breakign through the encryption, it would take at least a couple of months. and by then sony would have released their "new" firmware, with "new features" and "bug fixes".

Excellent idea! Sick of everyday reading threads with the same questions asked.. Is their a downgrader for 2.1 then 2.5 and also for 2.6.. NO there will never ever be a downgrader for 2.01+ because YOU CANT ACCESS FLASH IN USER MODE. the only thing that could access flash is the sony updates and u cant do the switch memory stick thing cuz even if u did get into a 1.5 update on 2.01 when you hit "start" it would error and say "your firmware is 2.01 there is no need to update" Originally Posted by lplover2k
