Play's normal games but not burned ones...

I know it's against better judgement to play burned games but I couldn't help myself. I've been playing my burned games for a few months now and had no problems, some I use a boot disc with. but recently I can't play any of my burned games anymore, just tells me to insert game disc. The wierd part is that it plays all my normal legit games. I know the motor is spinning and it's able to read DC games. Why the sudden change? how do I fix it!

First make sure the cds your using arent scratched or dirty.
Then check the lens to your dreamcast for and dirt or dust.
Check the lid switch some dc's switches wear out press down on it and wiggle
If they all check out alright then it sounds like its time to recalibrate your lazer, although there are drawbacks to doing it. It may shorten the the life of your gd-rom drive and if done wrong you can ruin it, but its very normal for an aging dreamcast to need a tune-up.

That's it! the calibration did the trick. the cd was spinning a bit slow I guess so 1/8th turn later it's all fixed! thanks
