Post Somethimg I would quite like for DS

I think it would be usefull having DOS on the DS. they managed to make DSLinux, so why not just port FreeDOS to the DS, I want this mainly for using GEM (Graphical Enviroment Manger) I dont see why this cant be done, any ideas?

Even if it one would port freeDOS and the included tools it wouldn't be of much use. It will never run other DOS programs as these would need to be recompiled for it.

Porting an emulator like bochs and running freedos from that will be way to slow on the ds. This type of applications just is beyond the DS' capabilities.

Your best bet is finding an alternative for DSLinux.

Actualy some programs seem to be platform idependent, forinstance QBASIC runs on 8083 and 8086, and besides a lot of stuff for ds linux was recompiled, but realy what I want is GEM. only not on an atari emulator.
