Default burn a file too long for a standard Cd

Maybe, I am not thinking about an easy way
but I dont burn DC images a lot
how can you do if your file is too big for a Cd?
    on a DVD?
is there a way of compressing the file and still being readable for the DC?
    my CDI file 770 MB

I found a similar thing with some of my CD Images.

Trust me, it'll fit onto the CD. Why not try a test burn? (if that option is available)

I'm no expert, but most if not all 700+MB CD images should be able to burn onto a CD-R thanks to the underburning options.
