    Arrow PSP-gnuboy (Gameboy Colour Emulator for PSP)

    An entry in the Neoflash Coding Comp, heres the details:

    HamsterBert posted this:

    PSP-gnuboy Release 1!
    =====================

    PSP-gnuboy is a port of the gameboy emulator gnuboy to
    the psp.

    Features:
    - Support for Gameboy mono and Gameboy Color roms
    - zip support
    - Battery backup ram support - save your position in
    games that support it e.g. Zelda, pokemon, etc
    - Correct ratio'd graphics, hardware accelerated renderer
    - 60fps on most games
    - built in game select screen

    Missing
    - Sound
    - More complete GUI
    - Save states
    - Cheat codes
    - mappable controls
    - Link up support

    Installation:
    =============
    For 1.0 firmware:
    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
    Copy the contents of the 1.0 folder to your psps memory
    stick.
    This should give you a /PSP/GAME/gnuboy folder on your memory stick.
    Copy your gameboy and gameboy color roms to your memory stick.
    PSP-gnuboy has a file browser so you can copy the roms anywhere.
    Personally I prefer to put them in the /GAME/PSP/gnuboy/roms/ folder.
    Your roms can either be in .gb/.gbc/.rom/.zip format.
    .zip is recommended as it takes less space.

    For 1.5 firmware:
    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
    Copy the contents of the 1.5 folder to your psps memory stick.
    This should give you a /PSP/GAME/gnuboy folder and a /PSP/GAME/gnuboy% folder
    on your memory stick.
    Copy your gameboy and gameboy color roms to your memory stick.
    PSP-gnuboy has a file browser so you can copy the roms anywhere.
    Personally I prefer to put them in the /GAME/PSP/gnuboy/roms/ folder.
    Your roms can either be in .gb/.gbc/.rom/.zip format. .zip is
    recommended as it takes less space.

    For other firmware:
    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
    Currently I have been unable to test on any other firmwares
    but if you have a psp that is supported by eboot loader
    then please test this emulator with it and email me any problems etc
    to: [email protected]

    Controls:
    =========

    Filebrowser:
    -=-=-=-=-=-=
    Currently the file broweser is quite basic. Use the d-pad to move up and down, and the X button to select a file or folder.
    Selecting ".." will make the filebrowser go back to the parent folder.

    In-game:
    -=-=-=-=

    D-pad: Gameboys d-pad
    X button: gameboys 'A' button
    O button: Gameboys 'B' button
    slect: Gameboys select button
    start: Gameboys start button
    Left Shoulder button: In-game gui.
    Currently exit rom option only but this will change in the next version of PSP-gnuboy.

    Contact me:
    ===========
    Email: [email protected]

    I am looking for webspace for my psp releases,
    as well as a graphic artist to help with gui design.
    If you can help, please email me!

    PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR ROMS AS I CANNOT HELP YOU!

    Thanks
    -HamsterBert.

    Then why don't you and the poster before you make one? People will choose what they make.

    Exactly, this isn't about those so keep that $#@! to yourself.

    I have yet to try one of these because I only have a couple games for it but maybe its time to check it out, this version looks pretty nice.
