8gb Memory stick pro duo mark 2

Hi,
I am planning to get a 8gb memory stick pro duo mark 2 but i have heared lots of bad news about it not working. I was wdonering if it would work on 5.00 M33-6 firmware.

I just googled the photofast cr-5400, looks pretty amazing, almost too good to be true considering an 8gb memory stick pro duo costs almost $100 while the 8gb microSD costs about $20 at walmart. I might have to check this out
