DS optical mouse camera

[Raguaviva] shows us in this video how he’s using an optical mouse as a low quality camera for his DS. This seems like a pretty cool hack, but we’re at a loss to think of a good use for it. As he gets to the end of the video, he seems to also have trouble thinking of a good use for it. Do you guys have any ideas?

maybe he can use the same idea with a cheap digital camera (Like the $15 ones at Wal-Mart) to create a basis for a web cam chat program that will work with DS phat/lite with the adapter or DSi with the built-in camera. I personally don't want to upgrade quite yet as I like my R4, and I have all three Guitar Hero: On Tour games, which require Slot-2 for the Guitar Grip.
