1. How hard is it to port a saturn game to dreamcast?
2. Guardian Heroes is a game I would really want to see on the dreamcast

Well, before you could even consider porting a Saturn game to the Dreamcast you have to wonder if the source code is available. Guardian Heroes' (and pretty much any commercial Saturn game's) source code is private.

So you'd have to reverse engineer the game (which is very complicated and takes a long time, afaik) and then learn how to port something written for the Saturn (SH2 Assembly?) over to the Dreamcast (SH4 Assembly?).

All in all, it's pretty much impossible.

You're better off buying the game.
