is that not just a mini CD in a case
Yep, just a mini CD in a case, no UMD.
It's a MD, not UMD.![]()
Ok, I am going to confirm that the blank media in the picture is infact a blank MiniDisc (which were obsolete from the very day they were produced)...
Then comparing the size of a UMD to a MD, you can clearly see the disc inside the UMD is more than a fraction smaller (65mm to the UMD's 58mm disc).
Thankfully I kept that junk, even though it ceases to function.![]()
minidisc's was not that bad
BetaMax = dead on arrival, almost (got 1 when i was a kid)
MiniDisc = destroyed after mp3 introduced (too exp anyway that time)
UMD = soon will be killed by PSP Go go gadjet PSP Go! \Stay tuned!
BluRay = waiting...
They weren't bad, though in 2001 when I purchased mine MP3 was already in the marketplace and MiniDisc had very little chance to go about it's short life.
I was still using MiniDisc into 2005, but then MP3 finally pulled me away leaving my 40+ MiniDisc's to a 5GB ZEN Micro (which I'm now using as pocket memory).![]()
