Entire New 13-Story Building Tips Over in Shanghai

This past Saturday, an entire apartment building in Shanghai collapsed. To be fair, the building was under construction and thus unoccupied, but it's still a minor miracle that there was only one fatality

For a building to fall over completely like that, it was down to a structural error in the foundings/foundations.

Here is the real problem



For the building to just rip out've the ground like that, the building would have been carrying too much weight on one side and furthermore it wasn't ground properly. From the look of this picture, the structure was rushed to be finished.



From this picture you can clearly see the building had probably started to bend before toppling to the fall, no building should ever do that.

Exactly what I said... Though probably cutting corners and cost amongst other things, not good when it's a building for people to live in.

It really is something, I'm betting it was made to withstand the worst of weather and scenarios... Except falling over.
