No, that doesn't really matter. It would most definetely either be a 2.01, 2.50 or a 2.60. But if i had to choose between those 3 firmwares, i would definetely choose for 2.60. Because there is no difference in homebrew compatibility between those 3 firmwares, and with firmware 2.60, you of course have the ability to play all UMDs (games and movies) like Splinter Cell Essentials (i want that game very badly but i am strictly staying at 2.0 though it is attractive to upgrade.)
So if your firmware is 2.01 or higher, go for 2.6 (my opinion). If it is 2.0 or lower, you have the ability to downgrade ( if you have 1.51, 1.52 or 2.0 you can upgrade to 2.0 (if you don't have that firmware already) and then downgrade to 1.50)
