Cwcheat problem!

Just installed it, and i think i did it right, i hold select, the menu thingy pops up and i press 'select cheats' and there are none, i checked and i have the cheats database thingy, what might be the problem?

well it depends, the game that you are trying to use it on might not have cheats. try going to the CWcheat site and getting another database file and try that
