Unable to get to Launch menu

Hello,
I am new to Xbox modding, I was given an XBOX already modded. My son played a dvd in the Xbox and ever since I am unable to get to the launch menu and hdd utilities that was already installed?
I can use a boot cd to get to the games menu but I am unable to get to the utilities to manage the actual Hard Disk, and other utilities to copy the game to hard disk? Any help would appreciated.
It is a EvolutionX mod setup

Sounds like some how your son managed to delete your evoxdash.xbe .

Pop in Slayers Auto-Installer and you should be able to get FTP access to your xbox. Then you can re-transfer the xbe back to your xbox and it should solve the problem.
