    Home/News Something Coming to DCEmu

Sometimes we cant push Vbulletin as far as we would like but behind the scenes Bluecrab and DS69 have been working on a new addition to DCEmu`s Sites.

Basically as it stands now we have the front page of each site and then the archived news, its functional but the archive page is massive and takes an age to load, but now the 2 admins have worked out a way to have pages of news accessible. It may not sound much but its a great addition to the site and very much needed, my hat off to the pair of them. Check it out on the Dreamcast site at the bottom of the page.

Also tonight me and DS69 have agreed that the time has come for DCEmu to take down the requirement to register to download from DCEmu, hopefully this will mean more coders release at DCEmu instead of uploading to those horrid freeservers. (just got one problem on the forum to fix to make this a reality)

Finally there are plans afoot to bring new interest not only to this site but the world of homebrew but more will be revealed once we get things fully up and running.

    Thanks for your time

That's great! I use this site as my primary source of news, but I only check it once every two days. Now I can see everything I missed without digging through the forums. Awesome.

Paging is the way to go, as for the other upcoming features? Bring them on!

That is a very good idea.
Whenever I wander across a site from a Google search, and that site says "you need to register to download this" or the even worse "you need to register to even see any outside links!", I don't bother with that site, and merely close the tab and go to the next site down in Google's results.

In the end, this really will entice more people to register than would do so if it was mandatory.
