Survey finds only most feel they aren't getting the speed advertised
64 per cent of mobile broadband users are unsatisfied with the speed of their connection, according to a report by consumer site Broadband Genie.
When asked if users thought their mobile broadband was fast enough, 63.8 per cent of the 1,160 respondents said no. A further 24.7 per cent said they weren't sure if the service they received matched what is advertised.
Only 11.5 per cent of those questioned said that they were happy.
The site put the large percentage of unsatisfied users down to misconceptions of what the technology is capable of. "The public perception of mobile broadband is often of a service that is comparable in speed and stability to fixed-line broadband, which simply isn't the case – and won't be for the foreseeable future."
