    lol ya but i think thats the best way to do it. Unless theres is another way. Its hard to get controls to work well when we have a limited amoun of buttons.

    I made a good one.-
    Start=Start
    R=R
    L=Z
    X=A
    [ ]=B
    ( )=one C button of your choice
    ^=one C button of your choice
    D-Pad=the two C buttons you are not using.

    I think that would work well changing the C-buttons depending on the game.

    Default just thought of a great idea

    while we are on the topic of controls i just got a great idea for the default controls:

    start = start (hardcoded)
    menu = select (hardcoded)
    analog = analog (hardcoded)
    dpad = dpad
    a = x
    b = circle ( or square depending on what you prefir)
    z = r trigger
    c-pad = L trigger + x, circle, triangle, or square
    L = square + L trigger
    R = square + R trigger

    of course this would cause conflicts with some games, but thats why you should be able to change the ones that arnt hard coded and saved like a game profile that is read each time you load the game.

    Exactly my point Bigmace have the best default controls and then make an option to change the controls to your liking save it and the controls will fir the game and be comfortable because most games do not make full use of the controls.

    I think it should let you choose the game, then choose controller settings according to the game you're about to play ...
