    Default Question about firmwares

    I've been out of the psp community for quite some time and just recently uncovered my psp with its 2.50 firmware. keeping the topic legal what is the best all around firmware now a days? back in "my day" it was 1.5. Thanks

    Are you on the lines of custom firmware, or official firmware?

    Right now, it's a little divided. Some people use GEN CFW (still active) while others are still on M33 CFW (which, afaik, supports more plugins).

    Both will run PS1 games and emulators quite well.

    thanks evil lucky for me I have the the original fat with 2.5 so upgrading won't be that hard

    ok so i went 2.50 to 2.80


    so now I have to go 1.50 to 3.55 then 5.0m33-6 right?

    IIRC you must have 3.71 M33 to upgrade to 5.00 M33-6.
