A = 1.50 Confirmed
B = 1.51 Confirmed
C = 1.52 Confirmed
D = 1.52 Unconfirmed (multiple version reports)
E = 1.52 Confirmed
F = 2.00 Confirmed
G = 2.01 Confirmed
H = 2.50 Confirmed
There are ones with an "I" in the shop where i want to buy an PSP.. soo can anyone confirm which version of firmware is on an "I" from how things are going i think it wud be 2.60.

where are you getting the serial from as i've got a jap and no letter but it was 2 if i recall but i have no letters in my serial or are u lifting this off the box ?

Check the Sony Stores , they have older version on most stores as of July 16, 2006 . Click and a popup will appear, click on stores on the bottom left will show a map where you can locate sony stores at the mall.,etc

If you are not sure ask sales for firmware 1.5-2.00, they will let you open up the box to confirm although this against policy they know you will return it if not correct firmware. Sony Stores have excellent return policy.
I check 6 sony stores, 5 stores still have A version 1.5 firmmare, the other one had B firmware 1.51 I believe
Where do you get your serial from? Is it the numbers inside the UMD slot, or is it on the box somewhere?
on the box theres a sticker with 3 barcodes on it under the 120V theres a letter all by itself thats the one u go by
Ah thanks. Mine says 240V but i'm guessing that it's still the same. Mine appears to be the G Firmware.
It's been put up to 2.6 which looks like i can downgrade.
