Help with PSP Multiplayer mode?

I've noticed that all of the 2.0 and above games that I try to play, are unable to play multiplayer mode. NONE of them.

1. Is it due to a problem of the isos/runumds/ etc being hacked?

2. Or is it due to a new firmware problem being the new firmware calling for multiplay through new system commands?

==>1. If it is, I can't do nuts about it.

==>2. The only way I can think of solving this is for some kind soul out there to code a hybrid firmware that calls for the good ol' 1.5 network system commands.

Any ideas about my problem?
