Default Which firmware version do you run?

I've been out of the PSP Scene for a little while and not done much with mine other than using it for playing movies.

I'm currently running 1.5 and a lot of the newer games require firmware versions above 2.0. However, I notice that there the GTA Exploit supports 2.5 and 2.6 amoungst other versions.

I was wondering what firmware version people are currently running and if it's above 2.0 then how do you find compatability with the emulators and eloaders?

As a PSP User, before I knew anything about homebrew and emulators for the PSP. I'd have to say that I kept updating my PSP, my version used to be 1.00. Now it's version 2.60. When I finally saw this website, I thought "What have I been missing out on?" I regret having this version, but ever since Fanjita released his Eloader, it's great to see that I can finally play old classics.

i had a 1.5 psp up until a few days ago, i finally made the move to upgrade to 2.6 so i could play my samurai warriors game i bought. (i've tried every umd loader and none work with samurai warriors Shadowblind ).

on my 1.5 this is what i had running on it:
    pimpstreamer
    snes emulator
    nes emulator
    sega emulator
    N64 emulator
    solitaire
    bejeweled
    wifijukebox
    hacked unstable internet browser
    PSPPersonalize (wallpaper changer)

this is what i can run on my 2.6
    snes emulator
    nes emulator
    sega emulator
    N64 emulator
    solitaire
    bejeweled
RSS Feeder (built into 2.6 firmware)
    Very stable Internet browser
    Built in wallpaper changer

so as you can see im only missing out on streaming videos and mp3's from my pc but I think I might be able to find a way to stream mp3's i upload to my site with my RSS feeder so really im only losing a video streamer that didn't even work for me much anyway. You just have to take a look at what homebrew you use and what homebrew you don't need. 2.6 is working fine for me, i didn't really lose much when i upgraded, and I gained more on the PSP. ^^

To give a more descriptive view of what's running on my PSP Firmware version 2.60, I'll give a list on what I have:
(1)Dgen Version 1.30, (The best Genesis emulator that runs on 2.01+)

(2)Snes9xTYL Version 0.4 (One of the best Super Nintendo emulators you can have for all Firmware)

(3)Daedalus' Nintendo 64 Version R4 (Between Daedalus and PSMonkey I'm neck and neck between these two, they're just fantastic at bringing these to life)

(4)NeoGeoCDZ (Forgot the version, but I love playing Metal Slug 2)

(5)SMSPSP version 0.5 (It works, though the sound is terrible, at least I can still play some good old classics.)

I have many, many more but i don't want to hog upi space in the forums.

    Thanks for the feedback guys

So in conclusion, does everyone think it is worth upgrading to 2.6?

I'm just a bit hesitant as I know there is currently no way back to 1.5 from there.

Keep it at 1.5 or you will probably regret it. I know I did. I wanna play mczonk's quake 2.

My brother just bought the PSP last week. I thought I could download every game onto the PSP with no worries, but that wasnt the case.

Luckily, it turned out to be a v2.6, so we bought GTA and we're happy with it.

A 1.5 psp! I love it so much better than when I had a 2.0 psp. I downgraded!
