    Question Grandpappy

Hi Guys - is this a first ? I'm asking for assistance for my grandson - isn't it normally the other way round ? When we've switched on his PS2, (without a disc), the 'Browser' and 'System configuration' screen appears. When switched on (WITH a disc inserted), the screen displays either 'There is no data' or 'Play Station 2' in white letters on a black screen, then ................ nothing !!
I've cleaned the lens, the discs, everything that CAN be cleaned...............still nought !!

ANYBODY OUT THERE ABLE TO HELP ? ANY SUGGESTIONS ?

    Don

It could be a dead drive or a really scratched disc.

Also, is it on a DVD or a blue disc (blue at the bottom)? I've heard some PS2 owners had issues with blue discs.
