i NEED HELP with this nes emulator

Hey guys. I'm new here. I've been working with emulators for a longtime, but this one is puzzling me with my PSP. What I think I did wrong is install the update to 2.70, but that shouldn't effect the emulator from running right? But the Problem I have is that I install everything correctly using SEIpsptool, then i put my roms into my created folder without the % sign. Is there anything else I need to do? because when I go to activate my emulator, I see the NesterJ icon but it always says

"This game cannot be started, The data is corrupted."

It blows my mind because I tried every other way and it don't work. What I'm asking today from you guys is what can I do? What do I do?

2.7 cant run any homebrew....yet.....hopefully
you are stuck with 2.7......for now.... hopefully
