Reply With Quoteyes it does for online play and multi card play but if you want to play singe cart with friends they wil need a flashed ds. But online is okay i play mario kart onine with it.

no when you use flashme and install a custom firmware. This is ony when you are playing a single cart multiplayer game with other DS's though. If you are just playing online or with someone else who has the game or rom then you don't need to do any flashing.

gotcha. good thing i dont have many friends with DSes, or theyd be pissed that they cant get in the multiplayer action.

you can still have multiplayer just not single cart multiplayer
