Great now we can download files useing the links 2 web browser and we can unzip them too using IR Shell. 1.5 firmware is only getting better and better
News and info from AnonymousTipster of an updated release of his PSP Unzip program.
Ok, so here is the 0.2 release of my unzipping plugin/app.
New Features:
Supports Password Encrypted .zips (only basic .zip encryption). If the option is 'NoPassword:' then no password will be used, if it is 'Password:' then a password will be used. If you don't want a password, but it is 'Password:' then fully delete the password, and it should change to 'NoPassword:'.
Automatically creates directories if non-existant
Use 'List Contents' to list all the files stored in the .zip. You can scroll through the files and extract any single one of them with CROSS and CIRCLE. CROSS extracts the file with all the directories above it in the zip, CIRCLE extracts the file direct to the ExtractDir without the extra folders.
Moved to User Mode (should fix 2.0 tiff loader issues, confirmed by frmariam).
When using iRShell Plugin, the extract directory defaults to the directory the .zip was launched from.

so will this work for 2.6
So...this application will unzip folders stored in your PSP without using a PC?
does it support rar. files too?
no it wouldnt if it is a zip file extractor. cause rar is completly different from zip. they should make one cause many files come in rar format
Wait RAR is just a different type of zip. If this does not work with rar then the tool is like completeley useless to me cause that is the like the only supported downloaded file type available on the web. When you download something.
ill give this a try & report back.
Don't be daft, rar compresses files differently to zip format. However that would be a good feature. We need to contact AhMan and find out if he can have where more than one extension is opened by a plugin.
too bad everything is in .rar nowdays. 1/100 is .zip
Which folder do you put this thing in?
It's coming up as "corrupted data" when I place it in GAMES folder. Even though you guys are right; most stuff uses RAR format, I would still like to have this app just in case I need it.
